On Veterans Day, 2006 (Nov. 11) many Veterans were honored in the Lansing area. At Edgewood Retirement Center, the Color Guard from VFW 701 arrived to salute the Vets who are residents at this community. Currently, 14 Vets have made Edgewood Retirement Center their home, and they share their own bit of history and stories with the group here. During the ceremony, the Guard reminded us that it is the VET that has given us all of our freedoms that we now enjoy in this country, and we are truly grateful.
